Aim of the course: Students with interest in ophthalmology get an opportunity to become familiar with the diseases of the retina. After the refreshment of basic anatomy and physiology, we focus on the most common pathologies of the retina. Students can improve their diagnostic skills on practices, where they will learn about the main examination techniques. On each lecture and seminar, we will discuss one main area of retinal pathology and its current management. Students will get a topic on which they have to find latest up to date information, we will summarize our findings in an interactive journal club.
